July 2021 Update
As of July 23, 2021, the level of risk for contracting COVID-19 in the Austin-Travis County area continues to increase, especially among unvaccinated individuals as confirmed cases have dramatically risen over the past two weeks. The 7-day moving average of new hospital admissions crossed the threshold of over 30 admissions per day, marking progression to the area's Stage 4 threshold as of this week.
As access to vaccinations has become readily-accessible to the general public, and we continue into the warmer summer months, Blackbird Fitness and Nutrition is taking necessary steps to ensure the continued safety of its clients and trainers, and adhere to both state regulations and local health guidelines.
We ask that all clients and trainers be required to be fully vaccinated, with proof of vaccination shared either in-person or by email, in order to train on-site.
All client(s), regardless of their vaccination status, will be allowed to train online until proof of vaccination has been provided or a level of herd immunity that allows for local health officials to advise on minimal-to-no restrictions. Trainers will coordinate Zoom-based sessions.
Additionally, given the increase in cases, including those of variant strains, we want to ensure those vaccinated clients who are on-site are aware they should feel comfortable wearing a mask or other facial protection - if they so choose. As of now, trainers also have the ability to voluntarily wear a mask while on-site. If you have any questions or concerns please connect with your trainer or contact us directly so we can discuss.
To date, Blackbird Fitness and Nutrition has been able to avoid traceable COVID-19 instances and we are greatly appreciative of our clients for following recommended guidelines to allow us to re-open the studio safely in the past few months. Your own efforts and considerations for others at the gym have allowed us utilize air conditioning within the studio and provide a comfortable climate for training and mitigating the possibility of viral spread.
Again, we appreciate your cooperation and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns then please do not hesitate to contact us .
